Dear FUNSCAD Unit I members,
Following on my previous message, I am writing to let you know that picketing will not be proceeding today, March 11. The Union’s Bargaining Team and the team from the Employer’s side have agreed to participate in a mediation/arbitration process, the legal term is MED-ARB, to resolve our differences at the table. This was not a decision that was taken lightly and we want to fill you in on the reasons for it and how the process will unfold. To that end, we are scheduling a general meeting of Unit I today at 12:30 PM at strike headquarters. For those who cannot make it, a detailed message will be sent out this evening.
We realize it is late to be sending this message so please spread the word:
1. No picketing today Monday, March 11
2. general meeting at 12:30 PM at the strike headquarters.
